Day 1 |
Johannesburg – Kruger National Park
Arrival in Johannesburg. Driving into the direction of
Nelspruit. A welcome nightrest after a long flight and drive.
Overnight including breakfast in the Hazyview
- White River region.

Day 2 |
Kruger
National Park
The Kruger National Park is one of the
most famous national parks in the world, 2.000.000 ha, 400 km from
north to south and on average 70 km wide. The park was established in 1926
and build up a huge international reputation during the years. It is the
home of 147 mammals and the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and
rhino), 507
bird- , 114 reptile- , 49 fish-
33 amphibians and
23.000 plant species.
Drive through the reserve. Keep you camera ready!

|
Kruger
Park Private Game Reserve
Experience the true African bush in a true world class

Day 4 |
Mpumalanga Provincie - Blyde River Canyon
Breathtaking views over the Blyderivierspoort Nature reserve and God’s Window,
with ravines up to 700 meter deep and when a clear day a view up to Maputo,
the capital of Mozambique.
The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the World. Enjoy the
view over the 3 Rondavels (3 mountains in the shape of a traditional African
hut) and the Bourkes Luck Potholes where nature has created bizarre holes in
the rocks. We continue to Hazyview and visit the Shangana Cultural
Village (or a cultural show in the hotel) where we see the traditional
lifestyle of the Shangana people. Overnight including breakfast and dinner
in the Hazyview or White River region.

Day 5 |
Nelspruit -
Royal Natal National Park
We say mountains...we see the Drakensberg,
on average 3000 meter high and on the border with neighbouring country
Lesotho.
The Amphitheatre and Tugela Waterfall are
the main attractions in this 8094 ha
reserve. The Amphitheatre is a geological wonder, straight basalt walls in
the shape of a half moon and about 8 km long and on average 500 meter high.
A 14 km long walk (5 hours return) brings you to one of the most beautiful
natural wonders in the region. Here you will see the Tugela Waterfall coming
850 down in three steps. The waterfall is the second longest fall in the
world after the Angel Falls (Carao Rivier) in Venezuela which is another 150
meter longer. You can also join one of the activities organised by the
resort.

Day 6 |
Drakensberg
Enjoy one of the magnificent walks in the
Drakensberg.

Day 7 |
Drakensberg
– Durban
Subtropical beaches
in Durban, the South African centre of water sports. Enjoy a subtropical
beach or have a stroll along the Golden Mile, Durban's promenade or the
South Plaza with its 500 souvenir stalls. Another big attraction is the
Ushaka Marine World. Durban has the biggest Indian population in the world
outside India. Did you know that Ghandi was a Durbanite? Overnight
including breakfast in the Durban region.

Day 8 |
Durban – Port Elizabeth
Inland flight from Durban to Port Elizabeth. Drive along
the Garden Route to Knysna. Visit to the
Tsitsikamma National Park along the way. Here we make a
walk though the subtropical forest to the suspension bridge over Stormsriver
Mouth.
Knysna is situated on along the Knysna Lagoon.
Enjoy the view on the Knysna Head overlooking the Indian Ocean and the
lagoon.
Overnight including breakfast in Knysna.

Day 9 |
Knysna – George - Oudtshoorn
Drive via the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, South Africa's
ostrich capital. Visit to an ostrich farm and the beautiful Cango Caves.
Overnight including breakfast in Oudtshoorn.

Day 10 |
Oudtshoorn – Montagu
Travel along the R62, the longest wine route in the world, right through the
Little Karoo. The landscape is dramatic and breathtaking. We end the day in
the picturesque town of Montagu.

Day 11 |
Montagu - Cape Winelands
Leaving Montagu and drive to Worcester. The Worester valley
is known for its excellent wines. Visit to the KWV Brandy Cellars, the
largest cellar in its kind in the world. 44300 brandy barrels are ready to
be consumed. Before leaving the region a visit to the Karoo National
Botanical Garden. We continue to Paarl where we ovenright.

Day 12 |
Cape Winelands - Cape Town
Exploring the wineroute from Paarl,
Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Enjoy excellent Cape wines in one of the many
winefarms. We continue to Cape Town in the late afternoon. Overnight in Cape
Town, including breakfast.

Day 13 |
Cape Town
If weather permitting a visit to the top of Table Mountain.
There after a visit to the 'Mother City' and the historical city centre
where we visit the VOC Botanical Garden, the Bo-Kaap and the oldest colonial
building in the country, the Castle of Good Hope.
Overnight including breakfast.

Day 14 |
Cape
Peninsula tour
Once described as "the fairest Cape of all"
but the bizarre Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope and McLear Beacon are feared
during maritime history.
The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve is part of the
Table Mountain National Park, the smallest of the 6 flora belts on our
planet. Visit to the penguin colony at
Boulders Beach.

Day 15 |
Cape Town and surrounding
Visit to Rhodes Memorial in honour of John Cecil Rhodes,
the first Prime Minister of the Cape Colony and founder of the diamond giant
the Beers. We continue to Groot Constantia, the Grande Dame of the Cape Wine
estates.
Picnic in the afternoon in the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. We
end the day with a romantic sunset at Blouberg Beach.
Overnight including breakfast in a
romantic hotel or guest house in Cape Town.

Day 16 |
Hermanus
Leaving Knysna and drive to Hermanus. Visit to the
Harold Porter National Botanical Garden.
Hermnus is a small fishermen town with one
of the best whale sightings in the world between May and November.
Overnight including breakfast in Hermanus.

Day 17 |
Hermanus –
Cape Town
Enjoy the biggest part of the day in Hermanus, drive to
Gordon's Bay or Strand where you can have a beach visit or travel straight
to Cape Town where you can shop at the V&A Waterfront or in Canal Walk/Century City,
the third largest shopping mall in the world.
