Umlani Bushcamp is a
classic African safari camp
located in the Timbavati Private Nature
Reserve, which forms part of the Greater
Kruger National Park, an area with ancient
animal migration routes.
Our target is
to reach an authentic African bush camp experience with simple luxury,
romance and no electricity. Enjoy the candle light and oil lamp atmosphere
in open air and a gastronomically experience around the camp fire.

Rooms have the necessary comfort and are built
according to the Shangaan building techniques.
Each hut has en-suite facilities
including an open-air bush shower
fuelled by wood fires. The hut is
comfortably fitted with white mosquito nets, crisp white linen and
towels as well as with standard bathroom amenities, bottled water (although
the tap water is perfectly safe to drink) and insect repellent. Umlani's
philosophy of simplistic luxury
and 'getting back to nature' is
enhanced by the romance of operating without electricity, so each hut and
the entire camp is lit by candle light and oil lamps, providing a warm and
romantic atmosphere.

The camp offers accommodation for maximal 16 guests in
5 double bed huts, two huts sleeping 4 and 1 hut sleeping 3 people.
Experience a game drive in open 4x4 safari vehicles or
a bush walk under supervision of our experienced Shangaan trackers. We do
two game drives daily, one in the morning and one in the late
afternoon/evening while an optional bush walk can be arranged on request.

Umlani Bushcamp offers an authentic
wildlife experience in Big Five
territory. View lion, leopard, elephant,
buffalo and rhino, in over 10 000 hectares (24 000 acres) of
traversing area, also home to over 40
mammal species and 350 bird
species
Guest can join the ranger for a bush walk in the early
afternoon or enjoy the pool area or relax in the tree hut equipped with soft
pillows, blankets and a cooler box with cool drinks.
