Shishangni is one of the few
private concessions in the legendary Kruger National Park with its best game
observation opportunities in Africa.
We will take you during your stay at Shishangeni to the rituals and legens
from the local Shangaan people.
The lodge is situated in a 15.000 ha
private concession from the Kruger National Park.
The border of the reserve is the Crocodile River in the south and the border
with Mozambique in the east.
Access to the reserve by road from
Johannesburg (5 hours) or from Maputo, the captial of Mozambique. The
easiest way to get to
Shishangeni Private Lodge is via Crocodile Bridge Gate, one of the entrance
into Kruger National Park, from here it is only 14 km driving to the lodge. Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) is
110 km from the lodge, Maputo Airport 125 km or Malelane Airport 70
km.
Accommodation:
22 individual chalets sleeping a total of 44 guests. Each
chalet is luxurious decorated and has a game-viewing deck, minibar,
fire place, open air shower and lounge. Chalets can be inter-leading on
request which is ideal for families.
The communual parts of the lodge are the
spacious lounge, library, cosy bar, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor dining
area.
Activities:
enjoy and early morning safari game drive in 4x4 vehicles or
a bushwalk which can be recommended.
Children: from all ages are welcome at Shishangeni
Private Lodge. We organise for the small ones safari activities or a
baby-sit. For safety reasons, no children are allowed on game drives under
the age of 6 and no children under the age of 12 on bush walks.
