This
beautiful surrounding is home to the bushmen. Today you can admire their
magnificent rock art, some are over 6000 years old! This spiritual area
offers spectacular views over de surrounding mountains, bizarre shaped rock
formations and
a phenomenal evening sky with planets, milky way, high speed satellites and
shooting stars, all visible with the bare eye.
See the stars and
planets closer than ever at our Mini-Observatory. Our resident expert will
ensure you get the best possible views of the night skies through our
10-inch telescope, including close up views of the moon and planets and
other deep space objects. A truly unique experience.

Bushmen
Lodge offers 5 spacious en-suite rondavels with thatched roof, ideal for a
family with children and the unique Cave Suites. Each suite has its own
private terrace, en-suite bathroom and twin beds.
The buildings are integrated in nature as it looks like these have always
been there.

The lodge has a restaurant for
breakfast and lunch and an outdoor lapa for dinner under the starlit night
skies. There is a cosy bar and an outdoor garden perfect for relaxing and
sipping a cool drink. Interesting rock formations surrounds the sparkling
swimming pool. A well-stocked curio shop is available to purchase that
essential souvenir of your stay.
A typical 3-night
package:
Day 1: arrival around noon. Safari at
around sunset. Diner in the Lapa
(open air restaurant) Candles are lit at 22h30.
Day 2: game
drive in the early hours of the day. Bushman Culture tour, a visit to San
sites where you can see rock art and listen to interesting stories. Lunch in
the Lapa and diner braai in the evening. Night game drive.
Day 3: breakfast followed by a walk in
the bush. Get to know more about the geology in the region, fauna and flora. Picnic
lunch. Dinner around the pool. Star gazing in our own mini observatory.
Day 4:
breakfast and then departure. |
