Difficulty grading: long and heavy
Surrounded by a volcanic area in the middle of a rich
fauna and flora world. The Gary Player Country Club is part of the world
famous Sun City Resort. Another golf course part of the resort is the Lost City Course,
all bordering the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve.
The course has a world reputation and famous for
its Million Dollar Challenge which is played during the fist week in
December. The Gary Player Country Club is for some compared with the
Spanish Valderrama and Augusta National. The
course is one of the longest in the world. The course stays very
exciting, even with a shorter route.
Long hits and small fairways will require your
best skills. Especially the 3rd, 8th and 11th hole (each par
4) will require your best abilities. The 9th hole is for most players
the favourite spot.
