SODWANA BAY LODGE
MAPUTOLAND KWAZULU NATAL

Accommodation
Relax in Sodwana Bay in the comfort of one of our 21 twin-bed, reed and
thatch chalets. All chalets have en-suite shower and toilet, ceiling fan and
mosquito nets; are serviced daily, and include complimentary tea and coffee
making facilities. The chalets are situated right in the heart of the
Lodge's diving and fishing centres and are adjacent to the volleyball court,
Leatherback restaurant, swimming pool and bar.
Further accommodation is available in our 22 self-catering time share
cottages - 6 or 8 sleeper.
Restaurant
Sodwana Bay Lodge has much to offer when it comes to eating out. The lodge
restaurant - Leatherbacks Seafood and Grill, boasts a varied menu, attentive
service and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
For
a more social dining experience, communal barbecues in a Zulu Boma
(enclosure) have proven to be a most suitable alternative and are generally
accompanied by zestful ethnic dancing.
And for those who love to relax, hot and sunny afternoons can be spent at
the lodge's popular poolside bar, where guests can swap experiences. |

Sodwana Bay Lodge Scuba Centre boasts the only PADI 5-STAR IDC diving school
in the district certified to train and license divers to international
instructor level.
The school enjoys an unrivalled position amongst the chalets in the lodge,
with the main training area only a few metres from the well-stocked dive
shop. A custom built 3m deep dive pool right next to the reed and thatch
lecture room, has both a deep and shallow end, as well as a purpose built
practice bench to simulate diving backwards from a dive boat.
The school offers various courses and you could be qualified as an Openwater
diver in only five days (four nights) or as an Openwater Advanced diver in
three days. We also offer Nitrox fills and courses, as well as 8-day
Instructor IDC courses. The school's instructors live in the Lodge and will
help you in any way they can.
