On the slopes of Signal Hill this
fashionable and historic Bo-Kaap area "De Waterkant Village" dates back to the
late 1700s. The name "Waterkant" originates from the Dutch word meaning "waters
edge". Today this bohemian village and National Preservation site is one of Cape
Towns oldest and most attractive residential areas popular with local and
international visitors.
Over the last few years "the village lodge",
the oldest accommodation company in the De Waterkant Village, has grown into a
portfolio comprising of the village lodge with fifteen luxury bedrooms, a five
bedroom luxury villa and a selection of luxury fully serviced cottages.
Our Main Lodge
is situated in Napier Street, in the centre of the village in a typical
Waterkant paved street with the character of the old Cape lifestyle.
The Village is very central located, within walking distance from
the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and the CapeTown International
Convention Centre. In the immediate neighbourhood are several restaurants (including
our own Soho Restaurant), winebars, clubs and theatres.

Napier street

This is a large luxurious air-conditioned
two-bedroom traditional cottage with pool that sleeps three (or seven if linked
to 40 Napier). The main bedroom and single bedroom share a bathroom with access
to the living room. The dining room seat up to 6 people, comfortable living room
with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and view over the courtyard with fountain.
The first story can be used as a sstudy or a third bedroom with sleeper couch,
en-suite shower and toilet. French doors open up to the terrace and plunge pool.
This area has a spectacular 360° view over Table Mountain, the city and the
Waterfront.
Guests have access to our restaurant and pool bar in the Main
Lodge (Napier Straat).
