Jean Bligny left the village of Bligny, France with the
Huguenots at the beginning of the 18th century for the Cape. Some 300 years
later the legacy of Bligny and the French Huguenots continue at our Auberge
in the beautifull village of Franschhoek.

The 1860 Victorian homestead in the historic centre of the
village has been converted into a guesthouse nearly two decades ago. The
rooms are furnished with pieces reminding of days gone by. It’s situated
within easy walking distance of top South African restaurants; wine farms;
fromagerie, chocolaterie, shops and galleries. A country breakfast is served
– in winter around the fireplace and summer on the terrace overlooking the
pool and mountains.
