The Restaurant,
on the terrace or picnic overlooking the waves of the West Coast, you will
savour the flavours of our mouth-watering classics and gourmet dishes prepared
by resident chef Michael Rhoda and his team.
Fare
from the kitchen will guide you through the flavours redolent of South Africa’s
cooking tradition and the West Coast surrounds – borrowing from the Cosmopolitan
table to create a heart warming taste experience that endeavours to touch
patrons’ souls. All meals are served with quality wines selected from our
cellar. Je seux qu’on se voix – come and join us.

How To Find Us
Draaihoek Lodge & Restaurant is situated on the West Coast of South Africa
between the towns Dwarskersbos and Elandsbay — a two hour drive from Cape Town.
From
Cape Town, follow the R27 main route to Velddrif, pass the town Dwarskersbos.
Draaihoek Lodge is situated en route to Eland’s Bay, north of Dwarskersbos.

Draaihoek Lodge is ideally situated to explore the West Coast surrounds. A
multitude of small country towns and fishing villages are within comfortable
driving distance from the establishment, offering visitors the ideal opportunity
to glimpse the comings and goings of coastal living at the West Coast and
country life in the bordering Swartland, Sandveld and Cederberg regions. |

Draaihoek Lodge offers
accommodation in 8 luxury
suites, each fronting the scenic strandveld and dunes of the Atlantic
Ocean. Furthermore we have the Manor House with its 3 luxuriously appointed
bedrooms overlooking the vlei with its unique flora and bird life available.
We can also offer you a honeymoon suite with customized
special treats.

Each of the eight luxury suites are double (or twin) with a
private patio overlooking the Reserve and within walking distance of the beach
with the sound of the ocean in the background.

Activities at Draaihoek and Surrounds
Draaihoek offers visitors a unique beach and bush experience, situated in a
private nature reserve between the Atlantic Ocean and the plains of the Sandveld
– offering an invigorating blend of simple pleasures and extraordinary
experiences to visitors.
The
unspoiled private nature reserve is home to a variety of buck species. With
uninterrupted coastline, an abundance of sea animals are also on view –
dolphins, whales and seals, together with various bird species.

The West Coast veld
comes alive with Spring flowers in August – October, and are also rich in rare
indigenous plant species typical of the area. For those wanting to venture
outside Draaihoek’s gates, the surrounding West Coast, Cederberg and Swartland
regions offer diverse experiences and colourful delights to explore.
