Our
rooms and cottages have all you need to feel pampered: Honesty Bar, Tea and
Coffee making facilities, En suite bathrooms with strong showers, Heater,
Ceiling fan, Electric blankets, Ostrich leather slippers and gown, Hair
dryers and good South African Port (on the house !) to enjoy on the patio as
a sundowner. The rooms and cottages are named after birds commonly found in
our area … which is a real birders’s paradise.
Skeiding is a 1200 hectare working far. We farm 1500 free range Ostriches,
1500 Dohne Merino sheep, 200 Boerbok (domesticated goats), a small herd of
Nguni beef cattle ( a very hardy African breed) and we plant 500 hectare of
Canola, Wheat, Barley, Coriander and Peas.

Enjoy
home cooked country cuisine prepared by Anné-Lize and her small team of able
and enthusiastic assistants (Rachel, Allen, Ennie and Aletta). Neels is the
meat “chef” on the open fire, unless farm work calls him away. A three
course menu is served every evening at the family dining table.
Enjoy
local wines of the region, particularly the Robertson and Bonnievale area.
