The many thatch-roofed "Cape cottages"
between nostalgic fruit and vegetable gardens are very well preserved and
maintained. The villagers closely watch over the dainty character being
preserved. Numerous artists, arts & crafts people, musicians, esoterics,
alternative healers, nature friends and ecologically and spiritually
conscious people have chosen McGregor as their home and contribute to the
special atmosphere of our village.
Set in beautiful indigenous fynbos gardens, each of the four cottages has 2
seperate en-suite bedrooms. High vaulted ceilings keep them cool in Summer.
Coffee and Tea facilities are provided.
Short walks take you through our gardens to the olive groves, secluded
swimming pool and fishing dam, as well as to the adjoining nature reserve
The bathrooms are done up with hand made ceramic handbasins and crafted
brass showers. 6 of the 8 rooms have baths and showers, the other 2 have
Victorian baths. The shared verandahs all boast majestic views over the
valley and out to the Langeberg mountains.
