Babanango Valley is heaven in the bush offering nine tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms.

Our small gracious country lodge is in the heart of Zululand, in a region known for its beautiful landscapes, a great diversity in fauna and flora and the fascinating Zulu culture.

Enjoy the space and beauty of the magnificent Babanango Valley Private Nature Reserve with its 30 km self-guided walking trails. Have a self-drive in the region, a picnic in the valley or horse riding.

The region has quite some Zulu culture related activities to offer highlighting the historical events. We prepare a  picnic lunch for you to make your day really comfortable.

The nine en-suite bedrooms are tastefully appointed and in combination with excellent service and luxury charm.

Breakfast is served on the patio, overlooking the beautiful landscape.

The cosy lounge, with it's crackling log fire in winter is the gathering point for a pre-dinner drinks. Here you can maybe decide your participation in one of activities which we offer.

Our aim at Rock Pools Bush Camp is to offer affordable accommodation and a unique bush experience - an African dream experience, where good hospitality and service are blended in a relaxed informal atmosphere.

The deck overlooking the river, is the gathering point for sundowners. At night the log fire and the floodlit river enrich the experience.

On warm clear Zululand evenings, we do a boma bush braai for groups who book Rock Pools Bush Camp exclusively. Otherwise, you may request that your meal is served at your cottage, where a barbeque fire will be lit and you barbeque your own meal.

We offer 9 cottages under canvas, each with en-suite shower. The rustique safari accommodation is decorated in an East-African style.

The cottages are individually located along the river, each with their own walled relaxation area and each with their own access to the river pools. If parents would like an adventure for their older children, three cottages have a place for a pilot bow tent, where children can sleep, provided with camping mattresses, sleeping bags and pillows.
