The Protea Hotel President
offers 349 well appointed bedrooms and suites along the Bantry Bay
promenade. In accordance with new smoking legislations, the hotel now offers
two non-smoking floor, consisting of 120 dedicated non-smoking rooms.
Room choices range from Standard
Rooms (mountain facing) and Junior Suites to Superior (sea facing) and
Executive Suites. All rooms and suites contain a remote control television,
hairdryer, telephone, sleeper couch, individual air conditioning, room safe
and electronic locking devices on all doors. |

Room descriptions:
- Standard Room: Combined Lounge and
bedroom area, with separate bathroom.
- Deluxe Room: Combined Lounge and
bedroom area, with mini-kitchenette and separate bathroom.
- Junior Suite: Separate Lounge area,
with Kitchenette. Separate bathroom with bath & shower.
- Superior Suite: Two bedrooms with
separate lounge, kitchenette and 1 en-suite bathroom.
- Executive Suite: Two bedrooms,
each with en-suite bathroom, separate lounge and kitchenette
The kitchenettes
do not hotplates or stoves but there is a microwave oven and cutlary.
This means the accommodation is not a full self-catering facility.
Enjoy a cocktail in the Senate Bar
or a sundowner on the Terrace. Then, let the Islands Restaurant tantalise
your taste buds with sumptuous cuisine. At the Protea Hotel President, your

The Islands Restaurant serves a
sumptuous buffet breakfast, a la carte lunch and buffet dinner. Varied
entertainment - in the form of Bands and a pianist, or wine tasting - create
the ideal atmosphere for GUESTS wishing to relax and enjoy a splendid meal.
(Buffet dinners with entertainment are seasonal and take place from
September until end of April. From May to September, we feature our new a la
carte menu).
Swimming pool:
spend lazy afternoons at the swimming pool, taking in the stunning views of
the beach.
