Heritage Square is in the centre of historic Cape Town and consists of
a large square of Dutch and Georgian houses, some of which are centred
around an intimate courtyard. The earliest building was built in 1771,
whilst the hotel was constructed in the 1780’s
Hotel rooms:
Each of the 15 bedrooms are individually decorated and have been designed to
retain the original architectural style. There are three room categories:
standard, luxury and suites. The floorboards are Cape Yellowwood and
burnished hardwood, cut by hand and painstakingly laid down over 200 years
ago. Meanwhile, sash windows reach up to high-beamed teak ceilings, and the
original wall plasterwork has been preserved to showcase the original
workmanship.

The hotel is located within a business district with
immediate access to restaurants, wineries, art galleries, jewellers and

Our 18th century courtyard is famous for its oldest
vines in South Africa. It the excellent spot to relax and enjoy one of our
superb meals. Another cosy spot in the hotel is the wine bar, set in
the formal slave quarters. We offer a range of excellent South African and
imported wines.
