Mon Désir is a family-run guest
house, built in 1925. Your hosts are former opera singer Margaretha and her
husband Johan. They take pride in giving all their guests a taste of authentic
South African hospitality. Breakfasts are served in the lounge or on the
verandah with sweeping views of Table Mountain, the far-off Stellenbosch
Mountains and the wide Atlantic Ocean.
Mountain Facing room
A spacious room with sanded wooden floors has an extra length
queensize bed for taller persons. A mosquitonet with garland of roses adds a
romantic touch. Luxurious silk duvets and pure cotton bedding invite to a good
night's rest in an interior decorated in soft hues. From the large window is a
view of Table Mountain. A large bathroom with bath and shower is en suite.
There is a separate dressing room.

Sea Facing room
Situated across the corridor, is this large room with twin
beds, also with luxurious silk duvets and pure cotton bedlinen. From the window,
there is a charming view of the sea and the harbour. Guests have the exclusive
use of a private bathroom with shower and bath.

Lounge and dining room
Relax, enjoy the views and ask Margaretha to sing while
playing piano. The lounge, where you will enjoy your breakfast has antique
furniture.
Gazebo & Swimming pool
A small cosy garden surrounded by bushes and a palmtree,
giving it all a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy our breakfast in the gazebo along the
pool.
