Harbour suites have a modern lounge equipped with TV, Hi-fi and DVD, two
bedrooms (main with kingsize bed, second with two twin beds), a fully
equipped kitchen and dining area with bar area and a balcony overlooking the
pool and Santos Beach.

The Protea Hotel Mossel Bay is situated in the heart of the
city, right next to the Diaz Museum where visitors can see a replica from
the boat, once used by the famous sailor. The hotel offers 31 bedrooms
ranging from 23 three star en-suite rooms to eight 4-star self-catering
harbour suites. The rooms vary from standard, superior to harbour and
executive suites. The historical building dating back to1846, overlooks
Santos Bay and the harbour.
 All
units are spacious and well appointed with all modern amenities of TV,
direct dial telephones, radio clock, hairdryer, fans and/or air-conditioning,
as well as tea/coffee making facilities. This, together with superb sea
views, offers an extremely comfortable stay. The hotel comprises of a
breakfast patio with sea view, the Cafe Gannet Seafood Restaurant - Mossel
Bay's best seafood house. The Blue Oyster cocktail bar, adjacent to the
pool, overlooks Munro's Bay and Jacana curio shop. Guests staying at the
hotel have free access to the Diaz Museum. It is here that South Africa's
first post office can be found: the Post Office Tree. Sailors used to leave
their mail at the tree and was picked up by the next ship.
