Knysna
another pearl in the crown from the beautiful Garden Route. This popular
town is on the banks of the Knysna Lagoon and is known for beautiful
beaches, the Outeniqua Forest and its large lagoon.
Visitors can easily stay for at least tree
days to explore the region. Major tourist attractions are the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe
steam train, the Garden of Eden in the Outeniqua Forest, the Knysna Heads at
the entrance of the Lagoon, the Featherbed Private Nature Reserve, a
historical goldmine site in the forest, the King George VII Tree and not to
forget the Knysna Waterfront with its many restaurants and shops.
The idyllic picture postcard scene is an everyday
reality of life on Leisure Isle, a tiny island set in the midst of the vast
Knysna Lagoon on the spectacular Garden Route coast.
